Leading from Paro up across high mountain passes into  a world of snow peaks, glacial lakes, herds of blue sheep and alpine blossoms, the route brings you into the remote  world of the hospitable Layaps.  From there it traverses over more  passes before it descends  into the sub-tropical valley of Punakha.
